From the 29th September to the 1st October 2016 in the Lublin Conference Center the Eastern Europe Initiatives Congress took place. It is considered to be one of the biggest events in the Eastern Poland. This year’s edition of the Congress was met with a great interest. Guests, among whom were many foreign participants had the opportunity to take part in interesting panels concerning current problems in the area of Central and Eastern Europe. The event was also attended by the representation of the Rule of Law Institute Foundation and its President.
Numerous guests who arrived to the Congress were specialists that shared their knowledge and experiences. Among the issues discussed during the event were inter alia those related to systemic transformations, migrations, learning mobility of students and academics, challenges of intercultural education models or searching for agreements in Central and Eastern Europe. Moreover, interested parties had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with available post congress materials and multimedia materials from previous editions.
During the Congress, the role of Lublin in cooperation between the European Union and Eastern Partnership countries, especially Ukraine, was repeatedly emphasized. The Congress created space for gaining valuable experience and left the participants with unforgettable memories. Participation in the event was an opportunity to establish new contacts and strengthen the already existing ones.
