The International Day KUL

On the 12th of October 2016, in the Atrium of Collegium Norwidianum at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, the International Day KUL took place. It was the first event of this kind in the history of the University and… Lublin. The event was opened by the authorities of the University who expressed their joy related to the presence of a great number of foreign students at KUL. This academic year, there are representatives of as many as 43 countries studying here!

At the opportunity, activities of the project ‘Open Integration’ organized at KUL were shortly presented to enhance an even greater integration of foreigners in Lublin. Moreover, several foreign students and graduates of KUL shared their memories and experiences connected to studying at the University. Participants had a chance to integrate with Polish students and international friends who came to the event. They could also taste selected Polish dishes e.g. dumplings, and see short theatre performances, inter alia of the ITP Theatre. Furthermore, many of them took part in funny improvisation activities.

The event met with a great interest of the international community at KUL. This, combined with a friendly atmosphere, was the reason for a success of the event and the motivation to organize next editions of it in the future.
