The members of the Chapter present at the meeting discussed issues related to the functioning of the Fund and the implementation of the goals for which it was established. Dr. Tomasz Sieniow, who chaired the meeting, gave a brief report on the received donations. The Fund’s account was able to collect donations in the amount of PLN 17,500 paid by the Foundation, family members and friends of late Kinga Stasiak. The implementation of the goals and promotion of the Fund will also be supported by a grant from the US Embassy that the Foundation received thanks to the efforts of prof. Dealine R. Swenson. As part of the cooperation with the Embassy, the Foundation will organize an international conference on Public Interest Law, trainings, internships, small grant program and law career fair for law students.
At the meeting it was agreed that the collected funds can be used, inter alia, in order to finance the participation of law students in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, fund an award for law graduates for the best master’s thesis in international law or European Union law, support the establishment of an ILSA (International Law Students Association) chapter in Lublin, as well as provide financial support in the organization of a student conference on international law named after late Kinga Stasiak.
