The goal of the institutional development project of The Rule of Law Institute is to develop and use the Foundation’s competencies in protecting the rights of migrants and refugees at the international level.
Our main activities are:
- Interventions in cases concerning the placement of foreigners in detention centers or the extension of their stay in these centers
- Making complaints to the European Court of Human Rights
- Conducting cases for compensation for unjust deprivation of liberty
- Conducting trainings for employees and volunteers on the application of international and EU law
- Monitoring the migration situation on the Polish-Belarusian border in 2021-2022
- Release of a report on the irregular migration situation on the Polish-Belarusian border in 2020-2022
- Participation in foreign conferences in which we will present the results of our monitoring
The project is implemented from 1 May 2022 to 30 April 2024.
