Dr hab. Anna Magdalena Kosińska

Dr hab. Anna Magdalena Kosińska

A graduate of History of Art at the Faculty of Humanities and Law at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. In 2012, she defended her doctoral thesis ”Cultural human rights – normative regulations and their realization” within the scope of constitutional law. She has been working at the Rule of Law Institute Foundation since 2006, firstly, as a volunteer and intern in the project “Ewelina Milczanowska Lublin Legal Aid Center”, then, as a Specialist in Communication and Promotion at the project “Regional Network of Immigrants’ Support in Lublin” and a Coordinator of two editions of the project “Support for Voluntary Returns in Lublin Region.” She is also a member of ”Fundamental Rights Protection Program” at the Institute.

Patrycja Gustyn
Patrycja Gustyn

Patrycja Gustyn

A trainee attorney-at-law at Lublin Bar Association of Attorneys-At-Law. Patrycja is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin (KUL) with master’s degree in Law and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in European Studies. She began her cooperation with the Foundation in 2016, as a volunteer in the Information Center for Foreigners, then as a Lawyer’s Assistant. From February 2017,  she was a participant of the Refugee Section of the Legal Clinic at KUL, and in the semester of 2018/2019 a Secretary of a Refugee Clinic. She was employed as an Integration adviser in the project “Lublin Coalition for Integration”. Currently, she works as a Legalization Lawyer in the project “Lublin MigraTeam”.

Her interests: bioethical law, public and private international law, civil law.

Jan Klimek

Jan Klimek

He graduated from the Maria Curie – Sklodowska University in Lublin. In 2010, he completed a Bachelor’s Degree with specialization regarding enterprises in the market economy. In 2012, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Finance and Accounting. He began his cooperation with the Foundation in 2011 as a volunteer in the finance department. He performed the task a finance assistant in the Foundation’s projects: “Legal Advice Centre for Refugees,” “Support for Voluntary Returns in Lublin Region,” “Extension of the legal aid over persons residing in the Centre for Foreigners and the Guarded Centre and Arrest in Biała Podlaska,” “Regional Network of Immigrants’ Support in Lublin II,” “Monitoring of the validity and reliability of applications and decisions regarding placement of persons applying for refugee status in guarded centers and detention centres for the purpose of deportation.” He worked as a specialist in financial services in the project POKL “Free legal and civil advice in Krasnystaw, Kraśnik and Świdnik counties”.

Jakub Wojtasik

Jakub Wojtasik

He is a graduate at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He began his cooperation with the Foundation in 2007 as a volunteer in the program “Street Law”. From January to December 2010, he was employed as a financial assistant in the projects of the Foundation: “Support for Voluntary Returns in the Lublin Region,” “Extension of the legal aid over persons residing in the Centre for Foreigners and the Guarded Centre and Arrest in Biała Podlaska,” “Integration of Foreigners in the Lublin Region,” “Regional Network of Immigrants’ Support in Lublin” and “Lawyers for Refugees”. Since October 2010 till present, he has been holding the position of the Financial Deputy Director.

Barbara Winiarska

Attorney-at-law, the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Since 2009, she has been a participant of the Refugee Section of the Legal Clinic at KUL. In the academic year of 2010/2011, she was a secretary of the section. Since 2009, she has been working as a volunteer in the Foundation. Since February 2011, she has been employed as a legal assistant in the project “Extension of the legal aid over persons residing in the Centre for Foreigners and the Guarded Centre and Arrest in Biała Podlaska”. In October 2011, she began doctoral studies at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at KUL. She worked as a lawyer in the project “Integration of Foreigners in the Lublin Region III”.

 

Iryna Kozak

Iryna Kozak

She graduated from the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration and of the course of American Law at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. In 2013, she began PhD studies at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. She obtained her Master’s Degree on the basis of a thesis in the field of public international law – “Crime against humanity in the jurisprudence of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia”. From 2011 till 2012, she participated twice in the competition of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court, and became the winner of the national round of Poland representing the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in the international round in Washington in 2012. Since 2011, she has been working in the field of refugee law. She participates in the Department of law – Refugee Law Section of the Legal Clinic at KUL. Since 2012, she has been employed in the Refugee Program of the Foundation. Her interests include issues of international law, foreign languages, the culture of Latin America and travelling.

Yulian Hofman

Yulian Hofman

He graduated from Slavic Philology at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. In 2014, he completed a Master’s Degree in the European Studies at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. In 2011, he held an internship at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland in Warsaw. Since 2013, has been working in the Rule of Law Institute Foundation, initially, as a translator within the frame of “AGD Refugee Program” funded by UNHCR, then, since January 2014, as a promotion specialist in the project „Regional Network of Immigrants’ Support in Lublin  III”. At the moment, he is an integration adviser in the project “Information Centre for Foreigners.” He is fluent in English, Russian, Ukrainian and Polish.

Sylwia Paduchowska

She graduated from the Law at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. From 2012 till 2014, she completed legal training at the Bar Association of Attorneys-at-Law in Lublin which ended in a professional examination with a positive result. Since 2008, she has been cooperating with the Rule of Law Institute Foundation, initially, through participation in the program of legal education for high school students “Street Law” and through law classes in the section of refugee law and then, working as a lawyer and coordinator of the Refugee Program.

 

 

Iryna Ilyashevych

Iryna Ilyashevych

A graduate of European Studies at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of The John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Graduate of English Philology at the Department of Foreign Languages at Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University (Ukraine). She worked as an English teacher. With the Rule of Law Institute Foundation is connected from 2015 initially as a volunteer, and currently as an employee.

Her interests include literature, culture, religion and foreign languages.

Valerian Karchava
Valerian Karchava

In 2018 Valerian earned his master’s degree in European Union Law from the John Paull II Catholic University of Lublin. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in European Studies from the same University. He is a graduate, with honors, of the 14th edition of the Academy of Young Diplomats Program(Warsaw) with a focus on international security. Since 2011, Valerian has been actively involved in civil society organizations both in Georgia and Poland. He started his cooperation with the Foundation in 2016 as a volunteer and intern. Since July 2018 he is employed as an Advisor within the project “Lublin MigraTeam”. Valerian is interested in international and EU Law, migration law, sports and photography.

Marta Kazymyriv

She graduated from Economics at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in Lublin. With the Rule of Law Institute Foundation is connected from 2018, initially as a volunteer and intern.  From May 2021 she is employed as Login:Lublin Partner Program Specialist. She is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian and Polish. She is interested in migration law, skiing, floristic.

Viktor Kryzhanivskі
Viktor Kryzhanivskі

Kryzhanivskі Viktor – doctor of law, associate professor at the Civil Procedure Department of Faculty of Law of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He is an attorney at the Rule of Law  Institute Foundation thanks to the program of emergency employment for refugees (Cash for Work), which is coordinated by the Polish Center for International Aid. Thanks to the knowledge of Ukrainian and Polish law, he can provide legal advice to Ukrainian citizens, which concern not only Polish matters, but also matters related to Ukrainian law.

Katarzyna Borucka

A trainee attorney-at-law at Poznań Bar Association of Attorneys-At-Law. Graduated with a Master’s degree in Law from the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin. Associated with the Foundation since 2022 as first as a volunteer and now as a junior lawyer in the project “Poland-Belarus Border Situation Response: Legal Assistance to POCs in Poland”.
Interests: foreign languages, photography and dance.

Bartosz Brzeziński

A graduate of MA studies in the field of European Union Law and BA studies in the field of European Studies at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in Lublin. Law student of WPPKiA KUL. He has been associated with the Foundation since 2021 as part of the Project “State – NGOs – Foreigners: Monitoring the implementation of statutory legal assistance”.

Olena Hryb

A graduate of MA studies in the field of European Union Law and BA studies in European Studies at the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin in Lublin. Graduate of BA studies in Ukrainian Philology and Journalism at the National University of Ivan Ohienka (Ukraine). With the Rule of Law Institute Foundation is connected from 2015

Paulina Kępista

Graduate of the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. She earned her master’s degree in law in 2022. Since February 2022, she participated in the refugee law clinic at the University Legal Clinic of the Catholic University of Lublin. Associated with the Foundation since September 2022, employed in the project ‘Protection of PoCs fleeing war in Ukraine through community centers in Poland’ serving as Legal Aid Counselor.

Associated with the Foundation since 2022, first as a volunteer and now as an employee of the Foundation in the project “State – NGOs – Foreigners: Monitoring the implementation of statutory legal aid”.

Maryia Skapets

A graduate of master studies in the field of Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.  She has been working for the “The Rule of Law Institute Foundation” since 2019, where she did internships and volunteered.  From September 2022, she was employed in the “Assisting Refugees from Ukraine in the Lublin Region” project.
