On February 12, 2020 a meeting devoted to finding ways of commemorating Kinga Stasiak took place. During the meeting it was established to create the Kinga Stasiak Fund for Excellence In Legal Education. The administration of the Fund was entrusted to the Rule of Law Institute that funded Kinga Stasiak’s Fund with the first payment of PLN 10,000. The assembly expressed the hope that thanks to the creation of the Fund it will be possible to continue achieving the goals that have always guided Kinga Stasiak.

graduated, with distinction, from the Faculty of Law, Canon Law and Administration of the Catholic University of Lublin where she also obtained a PhD in Law. She was also a graduate of the School of American Law run by the Catholic University of Lublin and Chicago-Kent College of Law. All her professional life she worked for the Department of International and American Law at the Catholic University of Lublin. Her research interests were particularly focused on issues of international criminal and humanitarian law, international responsibility, international judiciary and international organizations. She participated in foreign internships at the Grotius Center for International Legal Studies and the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg. She was a member of the Audit Committee of Polish Group of the International Law Association.
As a student she actively participated in the activities of the Rule of Law Institute, especially in the field of legal education. She was enthusiastically involved in educating students. For many years, she prepared teams to participate in international legal competitions: The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (that she had previously participated as a student), the Telders International Law Moot Court Competition and the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition. She was a co-organizer of the annual Legal Forum and inter-university legal conference held in English.
She was a great teacher and an amazing person.
