State – NGOs – Foreigners: Monitoring the implementation of statutory legal aid

On April 1, 2021 we have launched a new project “State – NGOs – Foreigners: Monitoring the implementation of statutory legal aid”. Our goal is to monitor state policy in the area of ensuring access to legal remedies for foreigners who are applying for international protection and/or facing return to  their country of origin.

A particularly important area of analysis will be examination whether Poland has correctly implemented Procedural Directive 2013/32 / EU and the Return Directive 2008/115 / EU in the scope of providing foreigners with free legal assistance and legal representation. The two year long project will be implemented in partnership with UNHCR Poland.

The project is funded by the Active Citizens – National Fund program, financed by the EEA Grants
