Next stage of lifting economic and public space restrictions starting on May 18th
The third stage of defrosting the economy and lifting restrictions related to COVID-19 pandemic have been begun on May 18. We encourage you to read the detailed guidelines that have been posted on the website of the Ministry of Development. Common knowledge of security rules helps to reduce the risk and makes it easier for everybody to move around in public space.
Since May 17th
- children
under age of 13 will be allowed to leave home unaccompanied
- more
people can participate in religious ceremonies – during a mass or other rites,
there must be 10 m2 per 1 participant. So far the limit was 1 person per 15 m2
Since May 18th
Opening of:
- Hairdressing salons
- Beauty salons
- Gastronomic establishments
New sanitary rules
The above facilities will function in the new sanitary
regime, which requires:
- in
beauty and hairdressing salons: wearing masks, glasses or visors, waiting rooms
will be excluded from the use – customers will be accepted only with previously
made appointment.
Customers cannot come to the appointment
if: they have symptoms indicating an infectious disease, they are undergoing mandatory
isolation or quarantine, live with a person who is a subject to mandatory isolation
or quarantine, in preceding week they had contact with a person suspected of
being infected, falling ill or sent for isolation.
- in
gastronomic establishments: respecting the limit of people in the premises ( 1
person per 4 m2), 2 m distance between tables or table
partitioning, wearing masks
and gloves by chefs, service staff and restaurant guests (who are allowed to take
off their masks if they already sitting at the tables).

Indicated limits will be increased:
- the
number of passengers in public transport: The transport management authority
can choose between half of the seating positions or 30% of the total number of
seating and standing places (in this case the half of the seating positions must
remain free).
- at
open sports facilities: on stadiums, pitches, jumps, tracks, skateparks –
maximum of 14 people (+ 2 trainers) will be allowed to train simultaneously,
open full-size football fields – maximum of 22 people (+ 4 trainers).
It will be possible to organize classes in
closed facilities, in sport halls and halls. The limit of people is determined
in relation to the surface of the object. In closed buildings, however, you will
not be able to use the cloak room or the sanitary facility (except for the
toilet).
Cultural activities are partly resumed, in a
form of i.a.:
- outdoor
cinemas (including car cinemas),
- resumption
of work on film sets (including sanitary regulations)
Since May 25th
Some of the activities in education
establishments will be resumed:
- classes
in primary school- grades 1-3,
- consultations
with teachers in schools, for high school graduates and students in 8th grade,
mainly for subjects taken during exams. Consultations will take place
individually or in small groups.
- classes
for final year students that cannot be implemented remotely. This applies also to
the education of doctoral students and classes organized for ex. in laboratories
and in medical simulation centers.
