On April 2022, we launched the project “Poland-Belarus Border Situation Response: Legal Assistance to POCs in Poland,” funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

As part of the project, the Institute is providing free legal assistance to people fleeing war in Ukraine as well as refugees and migrants who have crossed the Polish-Belarusian border from August 2021.

The project aims to:

• to provide legal assistance to foreigners who have arrived in Poland via the Polish-Belarusian border;
• to provide reliable information and free legal assistance to persons with special needs, especially those in detention centers;
• providing legal counseling for those seeking international protection;
• providing legal counseling to those fleeing the war in Ukraine;
• organizing trips of lawyers to guarded centers for foreigners involving the provision of legal assistance;
• organizing field visits to reception centers in Lublin as well as others in the Lublin region for legal support.

Legal assistance can be obtained at the Foundation’s headquarters, by phone or email. Our hotline offers telephone support five days a week from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
