Public Interest Law small grants program

Students from Poland and Ukraine have just started new experiences in implementing their own ideas for actions in the Public Interest under the project “Increasing law students opportunities for a career in Public Interest Law and the enhancing the capacity of Universities, NGO’s and legal professionals in the Lublin/Lviv region in the area of Public Interest Law”.

During the last few weeks fellows had an opportunity to get closer with the activities of the Rule of Law Institute. Institute’s employees introduced to the fellows such issues as administration and development of the foundation, migration project, refugee/asylum assistance, free legal aid program, intercultural differences, promotion and social media, grant writing/fundraising and how the finances of the foundation are arranged.

Thanks to the acquired knowledge, students will now have the opportunity to submit their own grant proposals.

Project is funded in part by a grant from the United States Embassy in Poland
