“The Office for Foreigners has launched the possibility of receiving text messages for people in international protection proceedings.”

“The Office for Foreigners has launched the possibility of receiving text messages for people in international protection proceedings in 5 languages: Polish, English, Ukrainian, French and Russian.

Foreigners can now receive up-to-date information on their procedure.

Via text messages, these persons will receive information regarding their case at every stage of their proceedings. According to the Office for Foreigners, text messages will inform about:

• registration of the application and the case number in the Office;
• summons for interview;
• the possibility of comment and assessment of evidence and inspection of the case files before issuing a decision;
• issuing a decision in the case;
• transfer of the case files to the Refugee Board, after lodging an appeal.

In order to receive text message, please provide your telephone number, name, surname, citizenship and date of birth:

• when submitting the application to the Border Guard or
• to the e-mail address: kontaktdpu@udsc.gov.pl or
• in person at Taborowa 33 street in Warsaw or
• in writing to the following address:
