We are happy to announce that we are beginning the implementation of the project Increasing law students opportunities for a career in Public Interest Law and the enhancing the capacity of Universities, NGO’s and legal professionals in the Lublin/Lviv region in the area of Public Interest Law
The project purpose isincreasing law student opportunities for a career in Public Interest Law and enhancing the capacity of Universities, NGO’s and legal professionals in the Lublin and Lviv region in the area of public interest law.
The Project Organizers are The Catholic University of Lublin, Faculty of Law – Center for Advancing Legal Skills and Ukrainian Catholic University.
Within the project we plan to organize following events:
• Opening International Conference: (Online) The Importance of Public Interest Law in Emerging Democracies.
• Training for law students on Public Interest Law and legal skills (Lublin and Lviv).
• Public Interest Law Fellowships for Polish and Ukrainian Law Students.
• Small Grant Program for law fellows to design and implement their own small public interest projects in Lublin and Lviv.
• Public Interest Law Career Fair for Law Students in Lublin and Lviv.
• Concluding International Conference: How Universities, NGO’s, legal practitioners and business can encourage and nurture public interest law in the Lublin/Lviv Region.
The project director is Professor Delaine R. Swenson.
Period of perfomance: 1 September 2020 – 31 December 2021
