The public task “Integration events for Lublin foreign students” was carried out from the 1st July till 30th November 2017 and it was a response to the main problems of foreigners living in Lublin. Its facilitated accessed to goods and services available on the local market, thus supporting the economic development of the city, as well as supported the educational program in the field of promoting the idea of entrepreneurship and shaping entrepreneurial attitudes among students and in the academic environment.
13 activities were carried out under the project, and about 380 participants took part in them. Four integration events were conducted under the project – a visit to the Open Air Village Museum in Lublin, an international football tournament, a talent competition and a concert in a restaurant. 170 Polish and foreign students took part in three six-hour workshops on the topic of legal employment and starting a business in Poland. The aims of the public task were also implemented during various thematic integration meetings (meeting in Lublov, integration grill, English speaking club). Very international meetings help with greater involvement of participants.
Thanks to exchange of views and mutual knowledge of the cultures, the result of the public task to integrate foreign students with Polish students and the local community of Lublin was implemented. The implementation aims of the of the public task have been achieved.
