The key area of interest of the Rule of Law Institute Foundation team is the problem of foreigners’ placement in guarded detention centers or centers for foreigners. It concerns both asylum seekers and foreigners, who are subject to return procedures.

Since 2013, the Rule of Law Institute Foundation has regularly collected data on the use of detention and alternative measures from courts and Border Guard authorities. This is the  result  of two monitoring reports and the preparation of numerous letters to courts in detention proceedings. Our legal opinions are prepared especially in cases where the detention concerns children and persons who are victims of violence.
