Migrants have right to have rights

The two-year project “Migrants have right to have rights” has been implemented since November 2020. The beneficiaries of the project are refugees and migrants who are parties to the procedure for the obligation to return and placed in guarded centers, as well as migrants intending to submit an application for international protection at the Polish border, who will need legal assistance prior to its submission due to persecution.

The most important activities within the project are:

  1. a legal advice point for refugees and migrants in return procedures at the Foundation’s headquarters with a helpline;
  2. legal opinions prepared in border matters;
  3. interventions in detention cases;
  4. development of 3 reports on the application of EU / ECHR law by Poland in the areas of project activities;
  5. conducting two thematic seminars to disseminate the results of the monitoring of asylum and return policy in Poland.

Project activities are performed by two lawyers who are supported by a legal advisor, advocate and volunteers.

More information about the activities under the project can be found in the newsfeed and on Facebook.

The project is implemented with a grant from the Active Citizens – National Fund funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Funds
