On May 31, 2021, an inaugural meeting was held on the Zoom platform in connection with the implementation by the Rule of Law Institute of the “State – NGOs – Foreigners: Monitoring the implementation of statutory legal aid” project. The meeting was attended by partner organizations and entities involved in the implementation of the free legal aid standard in case proceedings of granting international protection or obligation to return, resulting from European Union directives.
The purpose of the meeting was to outline the assumptions and expected results of the project that can be achieved through cooperation with UNHCR, the Office for Foreigners, the Refugee Board, the Border Guard Headquarters, the Ministry of Interior and Administration and non-governmental organizations that are entered on the list of the Head of the Office for Foreigners; Association for Legal Intervention and The HalinaNieć Legal Aid Center.
